When you Google “infertility” or “how to get pregnant” the flood of results on topics from LH, to FSH, ovulation, progesterone, temperature and pituitary glands can be so overwhelming and technical that you’re left feeling anxious from reading all the things you should be doing, and completely exhausted from trying to decipher medical jargon.
All of the facts and figures are hard to understand, and it was even more difficult to see how exactly they are meant to help you conceive. When I was on my fertility journey, I started looking for a solution that made sense to me.
As I researched and dug deeper for answers, I realized that guided visualization and the ability to tap into the power of the mind+body connection was the missing puzzle piece I’d been looking for.
A robust (and ever-growing) body of research shows what meditation and relaxation can accomplish in our brains and how it connects with all facets of our bodies.
Scientists and doctors around the globe are finally catching on to the centuries-old methods of how millions have approached a wonderful way of living, interacting and simply being.
Building on the principles of meditation and relaxation, this research demonstrates why visualization works. Here’s how—as we use our imagination to “see” the desired outcome—our subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between what we are imagining (which is why our perception or beliefs make such a huge difference in our health—look no further than the placebo effect) and what we are physically seeing with our two eyes.
Through our subconscious, signals from those visualizations are sent to our cells. The cellular membrane lets in those signals and—viola—we change our cells!
When you enter a deeply relaxed and fully present state of visualization, as our programs are intended to help you do, you allow your subconscious mind to do the work and to take full control of the power it has to change what happens within your physical body.
The guided visualization techniques that we use in our programs tap into the power of the mind+body connection in two ways:
- They provide a relaxing, yet powerful way to alleviate stress and to help you maintain a more positive and accepting outlook on your fertility journey
- AND, they put the power of your subconscious to work by helping you to imagine what success would look like on your journey and convey those messages on a cellular level
Do you see the amazing potential?!
