My name is Andrea and my husband is Andrew. I am 31 years old. I have been a nanny for a family of three and a half-year-old twin boys, for the past three years.
I have PCOS and Endometriosis. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for the last six months. To some that may not be a long time, but in my mind it is.
My heart longs for motherhood. Every month, I get disappointed time and time again. I am trying to trust in God’s timing, to find joy in everything that I do, and to count my blessings.
A couple of weeks ago my husband and I started to go see a fertility specialist, after six months of trying to conceive with no success. I went in for an ultrasound and we were surprised to find out how many follicles that I had in both of my ovaries. I am also thankful that I did not have any new cysts. A few years before we were married and trying to conceive, I had a cyst removed and thankfully, none came to replace it.
My doctor has put me on a five-day medication to help begin my menstrual cycle. Now we are just waiting for it to begin hopefully within the next few weeks.
My journey is still underway, but I’m praying that God uses me to give other woman encouragement and hope. That He will deliver me a little one(s) and that it is in fact possible!
“I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.”
